57th EAAP annual meeting,
Antalya, Turkey,
17-20 September, 2006 |
The 5th EAAP Annual meeting in
Antalya, despite the news about security problems, was a great
organisational and scientific success and over 590 representatives
from 65 countries attended the sessions. The theme of the meetings
was “ Sustaining production systems to improve the livelihoods (health,
well being, wealth) of livestock farmers”, and the plenary paper was
“Improving meat quality and safety to meet consumer needs” presented
by Prof. Jeff Wood of the Department of Clinical Veterinary Science
