Benefits and goals for members of the Nutrition SC Network

Members of the Nutrition SC networks have the opportunity to create new contacts, to be updated on ongoing projects and activities, to propose new projects and activities, to find partners for projects, to know initiatives in the animal nutrition field.

The main goal of the Commission is to be a platform to facilitate the creation of a network of European scientists in the field of animal nutrition, making strong links between private and public research bodies.

The key idea of the Commission is that nutrition has to be considered at an integral level.  Nutritional interventions can affect, at the same time, the quality of the product (milk, meat, eggs) by increasing the nutritional value for human consumption, the animal health status, e.g. modulating immune response and reducing inflammatory response, and the environment, e.g. reducing methane emissions.
