EAAP organises every year an international meeting which attracts between 900 and 1500 people. The main aims of EAAP are to promote, by means of active co-operation between its members and other relevant international and national organisations, the advancement of scientific research, sustainable development and systems of production; experimentation, application and extension; to improve the technical and economic conditions of the livestock sector; to promote the welfare of farm animals and the conservation of the rural environment; to control and optimise the use of natural resources in general and animal genetic resources in particular.
EAAP offers the opportunity to industries to receive services from EAAP in change of a fixed sponsoring amount of support every year:
This new website (from July 2015) was planned to have a modern and efficient lay-out. It is designed to allow easy access of the all-available information. It covers a wide range of subjects including presentation of EAAP, publications, up-coming meetings including links with local organizers of the forthcoming annual meeting.
Links with hosts of the future annual meeting and organizers of workshop and symposia include also the possibility for on-line registration. The site has also links with other relevant organizations having a bearing on animal production and research.
The web site contains PDF-files of paper presented at the EAAP annual meeting in addition to the book of abstract.
The average number of visitors to the site reaches around 300 per day.
Newsletter – Flash-e-news
EAAP Newsletter has 20 issues per year and is distributed to around 6000 addresses among 40 countries.
With the Newsletter EAAP is able to update about activities of the European animal science community, to present information on leading research institutions in Europe and also to inform on developments in the industry sector related to animal science and production.
