EFSA Report on TSE

The new European Union 2020 summary report on surveillance for the presence of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies has just been published. With this report, the European Food Safety Authority presents the detailed results of the surveillance activities on animal transmissible spongiform encephalopathies for cattle, sheep, goats, cervids and other species, carried out in 2020 in the European Union, and eight other non- Member States (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and United Kingdom), as well as data on sheep genotyping.
