News from EAAP Davos 2021
July 13, 2021

The registrations for the congress and the social events are very encouraging. We expect up to 1,000 participants in Davos. Tour 1 “small ruminants” and the farewell dinner are already fully booked.
The development of the Corona pandemic in Switzerland and in large parts of Europe is very positive. The warm temperatures and above all the successful vaccination campaign lead to a great improvement of the situation.
The Swiss government has therefore decided to take extensive easing steps. This enables the congress to run smoothly.
Despite this positive development, the Swiss government continues to rely on individual, very important protective measures.
For events like the EAAP annual meeting with possibly more than 1,000 participants on site, all of them must:
• be fully vaccinated
• or have recovered from a COVID-infection within 180 days
• or have recently been tested (PCR or antigen test not older than 72 or 48 hours, respectively)

The local organizer is looking into the possibility of offering testing on site in Davos. We all know that the situation can change again.
Please inform about the current status on the website before departure. You will soon find out more about the interesting scientific program in the EAAP newsletter and on the website.
