Uzbekistan is the new EAAP country member!
We are delighted to announce that the Republic of Uzbekistan has become a new member of EAAP. Previously, Uzbekistan’s animal science network was a member of EAAP until 1991 as part of the Soviet Union, so their rejoining is a natural progression. Uzbekistan’s animal production industry is experiencing rapid development, and they are eager to enhance the expertise of their local professionals. Therefore, they see joining EAAP’s animal science network as an opportunity to participate in international activities. EAAP warmly welcomes Uzbeki animal scientists and industry representatives, valuing their experiences. Due to Uzbekistan’s unique geographical location, their local animal production differs significantly from the rest of Europe. This partnership represents a significant milestone in our collective pursuit of shared goals and impact. The inclusion of Uzbekistan expands our network of like-minded organizations, strengthening our collective influence and enabling us to explore new horizons. On June 7th, in Rome, the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Aziz Voitov, led the Uzbeki delegation, which included the principal adviser Alisher Shukurov, to sign an agreement with EAAP Secretary General Andrea Rosati, solidifying their membership in EAAP. We, at EAAP, are delighted to announce that Uzbekistan is now our 35th member country!
